Will I be charged in case of cancellation?

Yes, if the cancellation is made less than 7 days before the start of the rental period. The tenant will lose the deposit paid.

No, if the cancellation is due to a force majeure event (confinement, Covid19 contact case). Your deposit will be refunded in full.

Is there a security deposit?

Yes, a deposit of 300 euros (cheque non debited) per accommodation must be paid before arrival. This will cover any damage that may be caused by the tenant.
This deposit is returned by mail or torn off (with photo as evidence) within 3 to 4 days after your departure provided there is no loss or damage to the property.

Do I have to take out holiday insurance?

Not specifically. During your stay you are responsible for any damage you may cause. If this is the case, we will use the deposit to cover the damage.
However you can take out an holiday insurance. As a rule, this holiday insurance is an extension included in the "civil liability" policy of your home insurance. For more information and to obtain a certificate, please contact your insurer.

Are there any additional charges?

No, the tourist tax is included in our rates. We collect and pay it to the municipality.
Please note that it does not apply to children under 13 years old.

Do I need to do the final cleaning?

No, the cleaning is included in the price.
You must leave the apartment in the same condition as you found it. The apartment(s) must be tidy, dishes must be clean and back in the cupboards.
During your stay, a hoover, broom, mop and cleaning products are available in each apartment.
To empty your trash, you can leave the rubbish bags at the bottom of the alley after 7 p.m. in the evening. They will be picked up early the next morning. You can also put them in one of the waste containers at the “Maison d’Eugène”.
The tenant does not need to remove the bedsheets and can leave the towels in the bathroom(s).

Can I bring my pet with me?

Yes, pets are allowed at no extra cost and remain the sole responsibility of their owner.
We simply ask that you specify this when making your enquiry/booking.
Please do not leave them alone in the accommodation and respect the neighbours regarding unwanted barking.

At what time can I check-in and out of the accommodation?

Arrivals are possible from 4 pm and departures are possible at 12 noon.
The tenant can enter the accommodation earlier if there is no rental before. The same principle applies for leaving the accommodation a little later. This possibility is not guaranteed and will depend on the reservations.

Will there be someone to give me the keys?

No, a secure key box system is in place to access the accommodation. This also allows for late arrivals and early departures.
We text the code prior to entry into the property.

What do I need to bring?

Bed linen, towels, bath mats and tea towels are provided.
A baby folding bed is available on request.
Each bathroom has a hairdryer.
The duplex has a dishwasher and washer/dryer, Nespresso machine, kettle, Classic coffee maker, toaster.
The lower flat has a Senséo machine, Special T, Classic coffee maker, kettle and toaster.
The tenant brings his own coffee, tea, filters and dishwasher/laundry tablets.

Where do I park my car??

As the accommodation is located in the city centre, there are three options available:

1 - Free parking at the end of the street (which we use):
We unload the car at the bottom of the street (at the exit of "Eugene's house" car park). Then we park it at the free car park of Naturospace at the end of "Rue Haute" (4 mn walk from the house behind the lighthouse).

2 - Parking in the street:
This is a more expensive and random solution (1 €/30 mn...!!). As Honfleur is a very popular tourist destination, you have to pay every day of the year from 8am to 8pm.

3 - Fixed price parking at 4 €/day:
There is a car park on the other side of "Le Vieux Bassin" opposite the town hall (7 minutes walk from the house).

Is the beach easily accessible from the house?

Yes, the beach is 15 minutes walk from the house, just behind the second free car park of Naturospace. You can go through the "Jardin des Personnalités" which is quite enjoyable to visit (especially when the weather is good).
If you walk a little further (towards Deauville) you will reach the "heart" of the Butin beach (picnic tables, parking, restaurant, lifeguard). You can either go by car or by bike using the safe cycle lane.
